Dr Marc Cormier is co-founder and CEO of Tala Energy, a Halifax, Nova Scotia company building software that increases the value of EV and home batteries by getting them to work together for the grid. A physicist by training, Marc earned his PhD in Prof. Jeff Dahn's battery research group at Dalhousie University, then built battery analytics software before founding Tala. He drives two electric cars, has solar panels on his roof, and lives on Canada's Atlantic coast, where winter storms make the case for resilient homes hard to ignore.
