After retiring from her work as an executive coach and facilitator, Judith got the surprise of her life when insulation become her next challenge.
Together with her husband she project managed a full house retrofit aimed at reducing the burden their home placed on the earth. Imagine their delight when the final result delivered a warm and cosy home alongside a 75% reduction in energy usage. In order to help others make earth friendly changes, Judith found an eco inspired architect to be her mentor and wrote the ‘Beginner’s Guide to Eco Renovation’ and What the Builder Won't Tell You. These are the books she needed when trying to work out what to do next.
There’s a lot to understand about retrofit, but homeowners don’t need to be experts. They just need enough knowledge for an informed conversation with the professionals, so they can get the outcomes they’re looking for. To that end, Judith enjoys breaking down jargon and complex explanations into something everyone can understand.
