Anneliese Allen-Norris
Anneliese is a whole-energy systems and net zero policy specialist, with over 15 years’ experience at the interface of the public, non-profit and private sectors. She has influenced Government policies to accelerate zero carbon technology uptake and delivered climate strategies and local area energy planning for a variety of local and regional bodies. She has fully electrified her own home and currently leads the development of the Domestic Retrofit Strategy for North East England.
Anneliese has also been at the forefront of technology developments that empower businesses and communities to cut carbon and reduce their energy bills. As the European strategy lead at one of the world’s leading environmental charities, she worked with National Grid to create the Carbon Intensity API for electricity emissions and forecasts. This tool enables customers to shift their electricity use to the cleanest times of day, unlocking more renewable energy generation and financial savings across the power sector.
Anneliese is a Principal Consultant at Urban Foresight, the UK’s leading place-based innovation consultancy. Specialising in net zero and zero emission mobility, Urban Foresight works around the world on projects that improve lives, protect the environment, and create new economic opportunities.
