Andy Turbefield
Andy Turbefield has dedicated over 35 years to the Automotive Sector, building a career shaped by a genuine passion for developing people, raising standards, and embracing the opportunities created by technological change. A Fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry and holder of a Master’s degree in Senior Leadership, he leads Quality, Policy, and Standards for Halfords Autocentres.
Andy has a strong enthusiasm for the rapid evolution of automotive technology, particularly the transition to electric vehicles, and is passionate about helping the industry adapt and thrive. His commitment to training and development was recognised in 2018 when he received the IMI’s Contribution to the Motor Industry Award. He continues to play an active role in shaping the EV skills agenda, working collaboratively with industry partners and the UK Government to support the future of the sector.
