Seth Treasure has worked within the Electricity Distribution industry for 22 years (for National Grid Electricity Distribution, previously called WPD), starting his career as an apprentice linesman at aged 16, thereafter moving into an engineering planning role and then moving into the Engineering Policy team for the past 11 years of which he has become the lead Policy Engineer for System Design and Power Quality. Seth represents NGED at Energy Network Association and DESNEZ working groups as well as the UK for a European power quality working group working on standardisation. He has been heavily involved with the connection processes and requirements for generation, vehicle chargers and heat pumps both for the ENA and NGED, with his present work ensuring that distribution networks are designed for a low carbon future, looking at both the change in load profile, change in power flows and increased connection of non-linear load.
