Dr Rachel Jones is a highly experienced leader in innovation and design who helps organisations turn technologies into new experiences. Rachel has spent 20 years at the forefront of digital innovation, framing and scoping opportunities, creating concepts, co-creating products and services, and forging partnerships. Rachel brings insights into renewable energy, EV charging, household retrofit, and energy flexibility, putting customers at the heart of systems design. Previously, Rachel was Director at Ford’s human-centred design studio, overseeing multiple projects in connected services, vehicle programs, and charging and energy services for transit vans. Rachel led Upside Energy/ Krakenflex’s new product group overseeing a team of product managers in the V2G, flexible energy and local energy areas. Rachel led Hitachi’s Co-creation Centre in Europe and led projects on Digital health, IOT and Energy systems. Prior to joining Hitachi, Rachel founded a digital agency with clients that included Microsoft, Vodafone, Nokia, BBC, Oxfam, and Proctor & Gamble.
