Dr. Pete Armstrong is the CEO and co-founder of Mixergy, the smart hot water tank technology which is changing the way we heat our water. Pete completed his PhD on intelligent hot water tanks at Oxford Uni with fellow student and co-founder Ren Kang, where they developed the technology which heats water from the top down, allowing users to only heat what they need, saving energy and money. After being awarded the Technical Innovation Award from the 2013 Shell Eco-Marathon Electric Car Competition in 2013, Pete and Ren launched Mixergy. Now a thriving company in the heart of Oxfordshire, Mixergy supplies homeowners, new build developments and social housing with a connected network of smart hot water tanks across the UK and Europe.
