Mikey Clark is an engineer and entrepreneur with a proven track record growing businesses and developing large-scale electricity infrastructure across the renewable energy, battery storage, built environment and transport sectors. As CEO of Relode, Mikey leads the company’s vision and strategy to deliver a network of gigawatt-scale Power Parks across the UK, simplifying and catalysing access to power for large-scale commercial energy users and powering net zero. Prior to Relode, Mikey co-founded Pivot Power, which pioneered transmission-connected battery storage and electric vehicle charging hubs on the UK grid. After successfully exiting to EDF Renewables, the team has built out over 300MWh of grid-scale battery storage to date, including the world-leading Energy Superhub Oxford project. Mikey’s experience also includes leading some of the UK’s most high-profile R&D and infrastructure projects, including UK Power Networks’ Low Carbon London initiative and the London Olympic park pylon undergrounding (tunneling) project. Mikey holds a BEng (Hons) in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from the University of Liverpool and when he isn’t working is most likely to be found on the water sailing with his family.
