I am responsible for countywide strategic planning and delivery of publicly available EV Infrastructure at North Yorkshire Council, securing £8.1m for the LA through successful bids to the LEVI Fund. Following local government reorganisation in April 2023, I have worked to establish an EV Infrastructure team, responsible for the delivery of new infrastructure and management of the existing network of EVCPs across the 7 former district/borough organisations. We are the largest English LA by geographical area, which is predominantly rural and this has presented a number of unique challenges when planning for rollout of EV infrastructure. I developed the public EV charging network in the former Harrogate District and have been responsible for other low carbon projects such as the Harrogate Car Club.
