Lisa is Operations & Communications Director of MCS, a profit-for-purpose organisation that plays a central role in the UK’s adoption of renewable energy sources for our homes and small businesses. MCS is responsible for the national Standards that cover low-carbon products and their installation, used to produce electricity and heat from renewable sources. Her career underpins her skill for communications and marketing and a deep understanding of the role that brand recognition and clear, concise communication plays in informing and protecting consumers. Lisa is currently overseeing the day-to-day operation of MCS during a period of transformational change as the company strives to inspire a new generation of home-grown energy, fit for the needs of every UK home and community. She is a trusted voice and advisor on what needs to be done at a government and industry-level to sustain momentum in the home-grown energy market, which faces challenging times. Most recently, she has been a go-to sector commentator at industry events and for trade media on the importance of consumer protection in the renewables industry. Lisa informs the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero to help shape policy for small-scale renewables in the UK, advising on legislative direction for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme among other Government incentive schemes. Lisa is also a member of the UK Solar Taskforce Communications sub-group, joining other industry experts and Government officials on informing public communications relating to solar power and policy.
