Tom is an environmental entrepreneur and executive. He has launched and exited a number of ventures, including greentomatocars and greentomatoenergy. In addition, he has worked in industry, at Transdev and OVO Energy respectively. His experience spans e-mobility, energy efficiency, EV charging and the energy retail sector. Whilst at OVO, Tom led on the EV-grid integration programme and EV retail offering, and ran the corporate affairs team during the COVID pandemic. He is an active angel investor, chair of The Longford Trust and founder.
Now at Centrica, Tom is overseeing the transformation of Hive into a whole home electrification leader, offering householders across the UK simple, affordable and reliable clean energy solutions.
After almost 20 years working in climate change mitigation, Tom realised in 2023 that it was no longer possible to deny that climate change adaptation would be (is) needed. And so he founded AdaptationUK.
