Maddie Moate
Maddie Moate is a YouTube filmmaker and BAFTA award winning presenter, passionate about curiosity. Her content often combines the traditional online style with education in the hope to inspire a new audience to stay curious, adventurous and encourage science engagement. Maddie’s YouTube channel has 315k followers and has received a Kidscreen Award in 2022.
In addition to online content, Maddie’s television career started with the CBeebies series Maddie’s Do You Know?. The hugely successful show which ran for 5 series, saw her explore the workings of everyday objects by asking how they are made or work. In 2017, Maddie was awarded BAFTA Children’s Awards for her work on the series.
Maddie has hosted Make Yourself At Home (Discovery+/Max), Maddie’s Urban Jungles (YouTube Original) Springwatch Wild Academy (BBC), Show Me The Honey (CBBC) and of course, The Fully Charged channel.
In addition, she has contributed to The One Show (BBC), Morning Live (BBC), This Morning (ITV), The Gadget Show (Channel 5) and Goodwood Festival coverage (ITV).
Maddie has worked with Penguin’s Puffin releasing three non fiction books for children, Stuff, A Very Curious Christmas and most recently How Does It Work?.
Aside from digital content and television, Maddie also brings STEM subjects to the stage, writing, producing and hosting shows for her audience. She regularly appears at festivals across the UK, and made her West End debut in Maddie’s Very Curious Christmas at the Apollo Theatre.
She is a patron of the Youth STEM Awards (YSA) scheme and an ambassador for The Wildlife Trust and Eureka: The National Children’s Museum.
