Now 62, I have been in transport and engineering since the age of 15. Following early retirement from a long corporate career in large commercial fleet management, I now run my own consultancy business, advising SME’s on all aspects of commercial, legal and statutory compliance. In addition to being a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Logistics and Transport, a Member of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers, a Member of the Society of Operational Engineers and a Technical Member of the Institute of Occupational Health & Safety, I am also a City Councillor and in May 2023, became the Cabinet Member responsible for Highways Transport and Parking in the wonderful seaside City of Southend on Sea in Essex.
