Women Take The Wheel: Women Drive Electric Debuts at Everything Electric London
Women Drive Electric, a pioneering female-founded startup dedicated to helping women drivers steer their own journey to electric life has announced its participation in the upcoming Everything Electric Exhibition at ExCeL London from 28 - 30 March.
Powered by an ambition to connect female consumers with the automotive industry, Women Drive Electric has created a real-world community, connecting experienced female EV drivers and experts with women searching for answers and inspiration as part of the transition to electric vehicles.
Female founders, George Thurman and Michelle Breffitt are passionate about encouraging women to talk cars with confidence. Believing that by providing a safe space for women to share their EV driving experiences they can generate higher valued opinions and more useful peer-recommendations for women looking to make the switch. In addition, by celebrating women working in the EV tech or automotive industry and shining a light on women who write car reviews or create EV content, Women Drive Electric can signpost its members to straight-talking information and resources acknowledging there is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to car ownership for women.
Highlighting the impact of not just the ‘influence factor’ that women have in a car buying household but also the growing purchasing power of women, who are 51% of the UK population, the ambitious and driven co-founders said “there’s clearly a huge opportunity for the EV industry to see benefits from connecting with Women Drive Electric to become part of the conversation in closing a sizeable knowledge gap with only 1 in 10 EV drivers being female”
Visitors to the first Everything Electric show at ExCel London will have the chance to speak personally with EV driving representatives of the Women Drive Electric Community including some of their industry experts. This will be an encouraging space to start a genuine conversation about buying, driving and living with an electric car. With educational insight, down to earth reflections and an EV on display courtesy of Carparison, the Everything Electric show will be an opportunity to connect and become part of the vision for a more inclusive and accessible electric driving experience for women.
