OVO is cutting the cost of charging electric vehicles on-the-go with the launch of Charge Anywhere, making greener driving more accessible to all. 

Available to all EV owners, not just OVO customers, Charge Anywhere will help people find, use and pay for charging wherever they are via one simple app - OVO Charge. 

As well as unlocking the live availability of more than 34,000 public chargers across the UK - and 400,00 across Europe - Charge Anywhere customers will have the chance to win free charging miles through a dedicated rewards programme.

Charge Anywhere lets EV drivers unlock savings of more than £220 a year* through one of OVO Charge’s in-app ‘Boost’ plans. With a monthly price of £2 for ‘Light Boost’ and £8 for ‘Turbo Boost’, drivers can access discounts of 10-15% compared to pay as you go public charging rates** - saving up to £4.28 on every charge. 

Subscribers to ‘Boost’ plans will also have access to exclusive benefits and features so they can get even more from the app and plans can be cancelled at any time. 

OVO Charge will show EV drivers the live availability and reliability*** of nearby public charging points so they aren’t caught short. Customers will be able to comment and upload photos of the charge points in the app, giving the community the most up to date information for each charger. 

All Charge Anywhere customers will be able to see how much energy they’ve used and associated costs as well as being able to pay in the app without the hassle of having to switch between different cards and logins.

Charge Anywhere is one of the many ways that OVO is helping to support customers on their journey to zero carbon living. It complements its existing EV home charging service, Charge Anytime, which lets EV owners charge their cars at home for just 7p per kWh at any time of day - the best value rate of its kind currently on the market. It will also make EV ownership cheaper and more accessible for people who can't charge from home.
